How to link to a Quickshow from your website.

One of the easiest ways to get a Quickshow onto your website is to link to it. This tutorial requires that you know how to create a hyperlink on your website and that you are familiar with the Merge Tab.

  1. First, you must "merge" your show with one of our templates. learn more about this process here.
  2. After "merging" a show with a template. Preview the template and click on the Play Show link. This will take you to a page that will view the show inside our template.
  3. At the top of this page in the URL section of your browser you will find the web address for this page. That is the link to your "merged" show. Select the entire link and copy it.
Note: This page is created dynamically and it is important to copy the entire link. This may be very long with some of our older templates.
  4. Finally, Use this web address in your webpage to link to your show.

Because, the link can be very long and cumbersome it is suggested that you mask the link or use an image as the link. Below are a couple examples. Please feel free to use the "Play Show" image below on your own website.

How do I know what my Host URL and User Directory is?

  • The Host URL and User Directory information is located at the top of the "New User Setup Instructions" booklet that you received when your Quickshow account was created.

What is my Quickshow Database number and how do I find it?

  • The Quickshow Database number is a 5 or 6 digit number that is used by our system to reference to your show. When you first create a show a pop-up is displayed that gives you this number. It is suggested that you write this number down at this time. If however you have lost this number it can be found under the Server Directory Tab. It is the number that appears above your shows description.
