Audacity is a free, easy-to-use audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems. We use Audacity to record and edit our voices for use with Quickshow but you can also use it to:
Record live audio.
Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs.
How do I get an Audacity recording into Quickshow?
Open or Record your audio project in audacity.
Go to “File” -> “Export As WAV... ”
Save the file as a WAV format.
OPTION 1 - In Quickshow. Click Load Audio Button on the Timeline Tab and select the WAV file.
OPTION 2 - In Quickshow. Drag and drop the WAV file in the Drop Panel.
Note: A Server Upload progress bar will appear as the file is uploaded to the server. You may continue positing items on the timeline as the file uploads. You will not be able to save a Quickshow until all Files are finished uploading.
Note: If after clicking the download button the music file opens in a new window and begins playing? Pause or stop the file and click "File" on the browser menu. Click "Save As..." and select a folder to download the MP3 file.
