What is the problem Quickshow solves?
There is an over-abundance of classic information.  There is also a tremendous amount of distraction in the commercial / civilian world.  There is not enough time for anyone to receive and process all the information, advertising, and opportunities.

What is the difference between ‘pull information’ and ‘push information’?
Quickshow is pull information, similar to micro-messaging services.  Pull information is requested, and subscribed.  Pull information generally has higher value because it is generally assumed that the customer has made a decision to retrieve, or pull information.
Push information quickly looses value quickly because it is ‘broadcast’ and ‘not specific’.  Generally there’s a larger volume of push information, therefore it is quickly perceived to have a white noise quality.  Push information can be characterized as a rack of brochures that you walk by every day and never look at. Push information can be characterized as junk mail. 

For the recruiting officer, what is the primary value of the Quickshow product?
In either in manual mode or automatic mode, the Quickshow product provides a reminder of things said in meetings, information handed out previously (that the service member already may have a copy of), and a brief opportunity, when the timing is right, to remind.

What differentiates the Quickshow service?
There are three key differentiators to Quickshow.
First we are not creating new media. We are creative. Quickshow accepts existing media and makes it fresher.
Second, Quickshow provides a small ‘pull’ message. Rather than a large DVD (and you should take 20 minutes to play the DVD at home) Quickshow is a reminder that the DVD for brochure is available. 
Third provides recruiting and retention advisory services. This means that regardless of the recruiting officer’s location ( in a car, at their office , planning their day , at any location and any time ) or training or familiarity with Quickshow,  the recruiting officer as access to a consultant who will complete the information request.

Why is the Quickshow fast message approach needed?
We believe that there are four rules of messaging. 

  1. Lightweight information can have high value. 
  2. Lightweight information should be provided immediately.
  3. Lightweight information should be personalized, since it does not have the stigma of mass production ( printing press, bulk  electronic media etc.)
  4. Heavy weight Information, brochure and other requested and delivered media as a push product, can be effectively led by lightweight media. 

Follow these rules to increase value.  Don’t follow the rules and you are Out of Context.
The historical result of out of context heavyweight media push messaging is that when a service member receives an unsolicited brochure it is likely to be saved in a pile along with other ‘somewhat’ important information until it is finally out of date or discarded.

Why is the Quickshow message counselor approach needed?
Quickshow Rich media e-mail is quickly created because the message counselor is involved.  Quickshow’s are purpose built to the needs of the recruiting officer in the Quickshow message counselor.  This means that the available resources changes quite frequently—along with the information needs of the service member and the recruiting officer.
The Quickshow counselor provides an important information link between what is currently available, to provide answers and information from the Quickshow resource,  and a link to the situation the recruiting officer finds themselves in.

What are the four services of the Quickshow product?

  1. Creative suite of new media messaging services,

Explain the difference between the manual Quickshow presentation and the automatic Quickshow?
The manual presentation can be either initiated by the recruiting officer or by the Quickshow counseling team.  Manual Quickshow is generally a single message. 
The automatic Quickshow can be considered to start with a single message, followed by a predetermined number of automatic messages.  Automatic messages look like they were created manually in our personalized and are delivered at a predetermined pace (measured as an offset in days since the original message)

What is automatic messaging?
Automatic messaging consists of a fixed number of text messages, rich media messages and Quickshow messages delivered automatically over a predetermined time interval.
As an example:  an automatic message sequence that is four messages delivered over a two-week interval that begins a conversation, reminds, sets up the final delivery, and then completes the final delivery of a subject area. 
The difference between automatic messaging and, for example, a monthly newsletter, is the termination of the Quickshow automatic message while the newsletter continues.

Compare with a contemporary, commonly used crowd media service such as YouTube.
Quickshow compares with HuLu in video quality.  Quickshow is approximately 4 to 6 times higher quality images than Youtube. 
The obvious viewing comparison is that YouTube and HuLu are advertising supported services, providing a video with many distractions around the edge of the video . 
Quickshow does not distract from its single message.  Quickshow’s are typically one quarter to 1/10th the file size of streaming video.

How does the Quickshow solution work
Quickshow solution is ‘user need’ driven. This means that the solution evolves over time as the needs of the recruiting officer and the service member change.   Fresh new shows and new e-mail messages are created to respond to user information needs.  The creation of new shows and messages is not driven by a central authority.

Describe the Quickshow lite service
The creative service builds shows. The lite service provides a manual and automatic message delivery service that can be under the single or mutual control of the Quickshow counselor and the designated recruiting officer.

Can Quickshow provide multi-purpose messages?
Yes. We call multiple messages a sequence of messages.  Just like a paragraph is built from several sentences, Quickshow’s are easily assembled into sequences of messages that can tell complex stories and provide all the features and benefits of a complex message environment.

How does the Quickshow solution integrate with existing recruiting systems
We all right lightweight new message service that is an extension of existing recruiting systems.

Does Quickshow implement command authority?
Yes. All messages can be stopped. All messages can be revised. A single unified message can be sent out to all service members by the command authority or by a single e-mail or phone call to the Quickshow consultant.

What are the time and resource requirements?
Quickshow provides status and activity reports that significantly reduce the time and distractions, therefore the resource requirements of the command authority and the recruiting officer.  Since we provide looking forward current activity in past activity reports that are literally a pencil checkmark away from next step there is very limited additional requirements.

Is any software required on a government computer?
No software is required for light, light manual and light automatic.  The Quickshow creative software is a Java-based client and server application that does conform to Department of Defense unclassified standards .  Data between the Quickshow creative client is encrypted. 
Light can operate without a computer or as a HTML webpage.  For those locations that request or require total PII control, we provide either an Excel spreadsheet or an access database.  If either Excel or access issues the customer application talks directly to the Quickshow server and no meal or personal information is saved retained or available from any log file on the Quickshow server.

How will this affect retention goals
A generally recognized number is that 40% of National Guard and Army reserve service members who remove themselves from the guard do this because of parents spells and other family member pressures.  Most parents spouse and family members are not interested in reading a military brochure to discover some reason that their service member should stay in the National Guard.  Quickshow delivers a point on message about reasons, benefits, and examples that provide the family member with information for them to provide retention support to the service member.
